Photography by Imagine was excited to be the Mt Prospect wedding photographer capturing the wedding of Beth & Jeremy Newman at Bristol Court Banquets in Mt. Prospect, Illinois.

Bristol Court Banquets is located at 828 E. Rand Rd. in Mt. Prospect, IL.  The property is
between Highway 12 and Route 83.  While the outside looks ordinary we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the décor was inside.

Bristol Courts has a large ballroom that is perfect for big weddings.  They could comfortably seat up to 500 guests there.  And because of it’s spaciousness, there is plenty of elbow room for guests to mingle.

The wedding guests were really shaking it up on the dance floor and we got some excellent shots of everyone dancing.  Because their dance floor is so large, they got some good crowds out there dancing.

As a wedding photographer who sees a lot of reception halls, we appreciate when a hall goes out of the way to do little things that make a difference.  Bristol Court Banquets really worked to coordinate and decorate to Beth and Jeremy’s wedding colors.  They put sashes on the chairs that matched the bridesmaid dresses.

The food was delicious and we heard many of the guests saying great things about it.  The presentation of the food was excellent.  And being a fan of dessert tables, we appreciated the scrumptious array of desserts they put presented.

We can’t say enough about the staff at Bristol Court.  They were friendly, professional, and really gave the bride and groom the VIP treatment.  They went out of their way to make sure they night went smoothly for them.

Windy City Wedding Show

Windy City Wedding Show – Sponsored by David’s Bridal and Keith Christopher Entertainment, this show is the brightest newcomer.  The first show was 2 days and kicked off in January 2011.  It was a phenomenal success and featured top vendors in every category.  It featured fashion shows, prizes, and over 150 vendors.  Truly a must see for Chicago area brides.  Get more information about the Windy City Wedding Show here.

What a great way to start off the 2011 wedding season.  We look forward to helping our brides and grooms capture the magic of their wedding day!

Patricia Holling and Andre Lewis joined together as man and wife Sunday, August 29th. They were the winners of the 1st annual My Dream Wedding Contest. The day kicked off with the bride arriving via helicopter to a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Midlane Resort in Wadsworth. After the ceremony, the party moved inside for the reception. The night capped off with a private dance for the couple set off by fireworks. Special thanks to all the wedding vendors who contributed to make this a memorable event.

Wedding cakes by Bridal Cakes by Ann

If you are looking for wedding cakes, you really should check out Bridal Cakes by Ann.  If you ask around, Ann has a real reputation in the area.

We checked out Ann when we were looking for a bakery for our own wedding in May 2010.  When we arrived at her shop in Zion, you can’t help but MELT when you smell the incredible aroma of butter cream frosting.  On display in her shop is a gorgeous display of weddings cakes.

She sent us home with a sampling of her cake flavors including: Chocolate, Lemon Poppy, Marble, White, Yellow, Carrot, Red Velvet, Spice cake and more. MMMMMM. Needless to say the cake samples didn’t even make it all the way home.

We ordered a two tiered cake for our wedding.  It looked amazing, was moist and delicious, and our guests made great comments about it too.

Ann is a great lady, she has baked cakes her whole life, she loves what she does, and it shows.  We highly recommend Bridal Cakes by Ann with locations in Kenohsa and Zion.

Riverside Banquets

If you are looking for old world charm in a gorgeous setting next to the river, look no further than Riverside Banquets in Geneva.

Talk about wow factor – we were impressed from the second we pulled up.  You are greeted by a beautiful courtyard flowing with flowers leading to the entrance.  The courtyard is a fabulous spot for photos.  It’s got that old world feel that really sets off a bride and groom for pictures.

They have a cocktail lounge on the first floor with a fantastic pub style bar.  The couple we were photographing had a sign featuring their favorite drinks displayed on the bar which was a cool idea.

You can walk outside to a balcony that faces the Fox River.  The views are incredible.  And later in the evening, we got to watch fireworks over the water for the 4th of July.

The grounds are truly breathtaking and provided endless spots for photographs with one of our favorites being by the field of wildflowers.

The food was good.  And dinner started with a “bang” as the staff performed a “parade” to deliver the food to the head table.  And the evening ended with late night pizza.

The atmosphere is charming and elegant.  The decor features brick walls, fireplaces and feels warm and cozy.  And brides will truly love the private bridal suite that is lavishly decorated and includes a private washroom and makeup table.

Riverside Receptions definitely made an impression on us.  We can’t wait to go back!  Highly recommend for a wedding reception to remember!
